Dr. Emma Rich

Dr. Emma Rich is a Georgia native who grew up in Marietta, where from an early age, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Rich loved Athens and the Bulldawgs so much that she continued her education at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM degree. During her clinical training, she completed a diverse array of externships including time at the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Humane Society, and Exotic & Avian specialty hospitals. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, and avian & exotic medicine.

Her animal family includes two dogs: Larry, a Maltese mix, and Aly, a terrier mix, as well as two (very fluffy) Lionhead rabbits: Kovu and Scarlett O’ Hare. In her spare time, she loves traveling (especially to the beach), spending time outdoors, and attending rock concerts. Dr. Rich strives to work with care and compassion to strengthen the human-animal bond.
