Your dog or cat will be thoroughly examined in an attempt to find problems in their early stages so they may be addressed before they cause illness. During these appointments, we will also discuss which vaccinations will be necessary, recommend preventive measures against fleas and ticks, recommend needed dental care, and discuss proper weight management and nutrition.
We highly recommend Wellness Blood Testing on an annual basis to help identify any internal problems as soon as possible. Our Adult Wellness Test includes a blood chemistry panel as well as a blood cell count (CBC). For those dogs and cats moving into their senior years (7 years of age or more), our Senior Wellness Test is a comprehensive blood test which includes a blood chemistry panel, a CBC, a urinalysis and a thyroid function test. We are very happy when these tests come back perfectly normal. Not only is this good news regarding your pet’s health but these values give us a baseline for future testing.
